Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend & Data Focus) - Remote

Overview

Homera Health is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who focuses on backend and data, responsible for designing systems to capture, process, and serve data at scale.

In Short

• Architect and implement scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Design, own, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, storage, and reliability.
• Structure and model data to support product features and analytics.
• Own schema design, query optimization, and scaling across databases.
• Manage deployments and infrastructure on AWS, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to system design decisions as the company scales.
• Review front-end work in React when needed.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Improve logging, monitoring, and data reliability across systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Deep experience with Node.js or Python for backend services.
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (Postgres preferred).
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Solid understanding of system design and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools.
• Comfort with React at a working level.
