Accountant (all genders) - Remote in Germany

Overview

We are looking to strengthen our Finance Team with an Accountant (all genders) who will perform the bookkeeping for our companies and ensure the correct management of accounts using Datev.

In Short

• You will control and book all business transactions in Datev.
• You will be responsible for proper recording of accounts receivable and payable, as well as managing asset and bank accounting.
• You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
• You will perform account reconciliations including OPOS.
• You will review credit card statements via Pleo and conduct intercompany reconciliations.
• You will provide numerical data for internal reporting.
• You will proactively optimize processes, including increasing the degree of digitization.

Requirements

• You have completed commercial training and at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
• You have knowledge of HGB and the VAT Act.
• You have experience with the accounting software Datev.
• You have already prepared financial statements in a corporate context.
• You are proficient in MS Office programs, especially Excel, and are open to a digital working environment.
• You have a self-reliant and responsible working style, are a team player, and enjoy thinking outside the box.
• You have an eye for improvement potential and an interest in shaping and advancing your area.
• You easily use digital tools, recognize potentials, and are excited about how AI can make everyday work more efficient.
• You possess native-level German (C1) and good English skills (B1).
