Senior Accountant (all genders) - Remote

Overview

We are looking to strengthen our Finance team with a Senior Accountant (all genders) who will handle the booking of our company documents and ensure proper bookkeeping using Datev. Together with the existing accountants, you will contribute to ensuring that necessary payments across all business areas are processed and recorded correctly.

In Short

• You will control and record all business transactions in Datev.
• Responsible for the proper recording of accounts receivable and payable, as well as asset and bank accounting.
• Perform account reconciliations and process the OPOS.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
• Conduct credit card reconciliations via Pleo and intercompany reconciliations.
• Provide numerical data for internal reporting.
• Proactively optimize processes, including increasing the degree of digitization.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training and at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of HGB and the VAT law.
• Experience with accounting software Datev.
• Have completed financial statements in a corporate context.
• Preferably, further training as a certified balance sheet accountant.
• Proficient in MS Office programs, especially Excel, and open to a digital work environment.
• Independent and responsible working style, but also a team player.
• Ability to identify improvement potential and interest in shaping and advancing your area.
• Fluent in German (C1) and good English skills (B1).
• Easily use digital tools and recognize their potential for efficiency improvements.
