Network Design Intern - Remote

Overview

The Network Design Intern will assist in converting customer requirements into network designs while gaining hands-on experience in a hybrid work environment.

• Internship duration of 4 months (January – April 2026).
• Converts customer requirements into conceptual designs.
• Develops and documents detailed network designs.
• Deploys solutions in the lab and supports testing activities.
• Participates in technical reviews and vendor selection.
• Prepares bids and proposals based on customer requirements.
• Presents technical designs to customers and management.
• Builds relationships with software, hardware, and testing teams.
• Reports work progress and estimates to complete tasks.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment.

Requirements

• Working towards a degree in System, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of network principles and technologies.
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (40 hours/week).
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Previous internship experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of redundancy and high-availability technologies.
• Familiarity with RF networking and rail signaling technologies.
• Specification-driven network design knowledge is a plus.
