DCS IT Design Specialist - Remote

Overview

The DCS IT Design Specialist at Hitachi Rail will address all design aspects of mission-critical IT solutions within a larger communication system supporting the Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system.

• Analyze customer specifications to define IT architecture and solutions.
• Develop system and subsystem requirements.
• Create detailed IT designs and document them.

Requirements

• University degree in computer sciences, IT, or engineering.
• Industry IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware).
• Knowledge of Microsoft client/server operating systems.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Familiarity with VMware and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in IT automation solutions.
• Mandatory proficiency in English.
• Preferred knowledge of rail signaling and CBTC.
• Understanding of network principles and technologies.
• Experience with cyber-security solutions.
