Surgical Technologist I - Full Time - Remote

Overview

This full-time position involves performing direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical interventions.

In Short

• Assists in setting up the surgical operating suite with appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Utilizes proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions.
• Prepares, positions, and drapes patients, participates in the surgical pause.
• Understands and adapts to surgeon preference and patient care variables.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument count.
• Cares for and utilizes resources to promote cost-effective patient care.
• Completes other assigned duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum one year certificate from a college or technical school.
• Experience or training in a related field.
• Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
