Overview

The RN Clinical Coordinator for Abdominal Transplant at Allegheny General Hospital is responsible for coordinating and managing care for transplant patients throughout the entire process, ensuring effective communication between patients, donors, and the healthcare team.

In Short

• Full-time position with 80 hours every two weeks.
• Daylight hours, Monday to Friday, on-site, with no weekends or holidays.
• Coordinates all aspects of the transplant process.
• Assesses patient status and intervenes when necessary.
• Responsible for patient education and documentation.
• Serves as a liaison with various healthcare professionals and organizations.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of clinical RN experience.
• Current RN licensure in Pennsylvania or multi-state licensure.
• BSN and CCTC certification required within three years.
• Preferred experience in transplant coordination.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of clinical RN experience.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure.
• BSN required.
• CCTC certification required within three years of hire.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Background clearances as per state regulations.
• Preferred: 1 year of transplant experience.
• American Board of Transplant Coordination certification preferred.
