Overview

The Polysomnographic Technician performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and treatments for sleep disorders under licensed medical direction.

• Conducts polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency tests.
• Scores test results and maintains quality control of equipment.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient testing schedules.
• Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records.

• Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Requirements

• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34, 33, and 73 background clearances.
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Completion of polysomnography training program required.
• Basic EEG course completion preferred.
• RPSGT, CRT, RRT, or LPN credentials are beneficial.
• Experience with sleep study testing is preferred.
