Overview

The Medical Assistant will support patient care and office operations under the direction of healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to established protocols and workflows.

In Short

  • Assist in coordinating patient examinations and health care planning.
  • Prepare and room patients according to standardized workflows.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history.
  • Administer screenings and assist with back office testing.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure treatment areas are stocked.
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Provide follow-up with patients as directed by providers.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • May require floating between physician office locations.
  • Complete certification training within specified timeframes.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or relevant experience.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Criminal background clearance certificates.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred within specified timelines.
  • Experience with clinical duties such as injections and phlebotomy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to manage patient information confidentially.
  • Willingness to float between locations if required.
