The Genetic Counseling Assistant supports genetic counseling and risk assessment for individuals at risk by performing clinical and administrative tasks.

• Creates and updates patient pedigrees in risk assessment software.
• Assists genetics counselors in communicating normal test results.

Requirements

• Minimum Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current or planned enrollment in an accredited Master's program in Genetic Counseling.
• Bachelor's degree in genetics, biology, psychology, chemistry, or related field.
