Overview

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides emergency medical care to sick and injured patients in both pre-hospital and hospital environments, ensuring effective communication with all involved parties.

• Provides emergency medical care to patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• PA EMT certification or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Background clearances (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73).
• Preferred six months of prehospital care experience.
• Knowledge of ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS is preferred.
