Part-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Remote

Overview

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides emergency medical care to sick and injured patients in both pre-hospital and hospital environments, ensuring effective communication with all involved in emergency medical care.

In Short

• Provides emergency medical care to patients.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury.
• Provides basic life support and transports critically ill and injured patients.
• Drives emergency vehicle as needed.
• Completes required documentation according to standards.
• Maintains equipment and inventory of medical supplies.
• Accountable for medications on EMS units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must have PA EMT certification within 30 days of hire.
• Requires valid driver’s license and CPR certification.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience or training.
• Preferred six months’ experience in prehospital care.
• ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS certifications preferred.
• Compliance with HIPAA and company policies required.
• Clearance certificates for background checks necessary.
