Overview

The Community Health Worker serves as a liaison between members, providers, and community centers, engaging with a target population to improve health outcomes and provide support in navigating the healthcare system.

In Short

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related customer service role.
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with the targeted community is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and creatively.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity towards Medicaid populations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and respond promptly to customer issues.
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy in interactions.
