Advanced Practice Provider Specialty, Medical Oncology - Remote

Overview

This job is an integral part of the care delivery system working together to provide a healing environment, by placing our customers first. The incumbent provides specialty healthcare services for acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

In Short

• Perform complete, detailed and accurate histories and physical examinations.
• Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Make medical diagnoses and institute therapy as needed.
• Document medical coding and billing accurately.
• Provide guidance regarding medical care to patients and families.
• Perform hospital rounds and document patient progress notes.
• Institute emergency measures in acute situations.
• Maintain compliance with medical staff office regulations.
• Participate in medical education and patient safety processes.
• Maintain professional practice consistent with organizational mission.

Requirements

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or a PA State Board of Nursing approved Master's or Post Master's program.
• Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant License or CRNP license.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners required for CRNPs.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• 1-3 years of specialty practice and clinical experience preferred.
• ACLS certification.
• DEA license.
• Compliance with criminal background checks.
