Contracting & Procurement Manager - Remote

Overview

The core intention of this position is to proactively identify and lead cost savings measures related to contracting and procurement of services and materials across departments: Construction, property management, etc. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Procurement to lead and optimize our sourcing and purchasing operations across our real estate development, construction, and property management divisions. This position would have management oversight of contracting services and purchasing materials required to operate the business. In addition to sourcing vendors, bidding out jobs, establishing relationships, and negotiating agreements, this position requires maintaining all of the service contract databases and documentation.

In Short

• Negotiate existing services and establish new services for properties.
• Lead new vendor onboarding and manage relationships.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, development, and operations teams.
• Establish standardized procurement policies and procedures.
• Develop reporting dashboards for procurement KPIs.
• Design and implement procurement strategies.
• Oversee procurement for construction materials and operational supplies.
• Manage and develop a high-performing procurement team.
• Lead competitive bidding and RFP processes.
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to budgets and compliance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based accounting software.
• 3+ years of experience negotiating purchasing and service contracts.
• 2+ years of budgeting experience.
• Ability to travel domestically within the US for up to 2 weeks.
• Work US Business hours between 8:30 am CST - 5:30 pm CST.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strong financial acumen to manage large budgets.
