Overview

The Crisis Clinician provides judgment-free assessments and interventions to individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises through televideo screenings and phone support.

In Short

  • Conduct crisis assessments and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Collaborate with individuals and treatment teams.
  • Provide person-centered services focused on rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Educate and counsel individuals regarding their behavioral health.
  • Coordinate referrals to community services.
  • Respond quickly to crisis calls during shifts.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Attend staff meetings and maintain effective team relationships.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Kansas.
  • Two years of client-related service experience.
  • One year of crisis intervention experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills and customer service orientation.
  • Basic computer fluency and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must pass background checks.
