Overview

The Clinician in Crisis Stabilization provides critical counseling services to clients dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues, ensuring they receive the necessary support and treatment to aid in their recovery.

In Short

  • Conducts eligibility screenings and comprehensive intake assessments.
  • Provides individual counseling to clients and assists in achieving treatment goals.
  • Writes treatment plans and documents service delivery.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Builds relationships with agencies to facilitate client referrals.
  • Works closely with a clinical team for client service coordination.
  • Employs CARF standards for utilization management.
  • Participates in the re-accreditation processes.
  • Requires a Master’s degree in a clinical course of study.
  • Licensure in Massachusetts is required or in progress.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • Licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or working towards it.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic and risk assessments.
  • Experience in behavioral health or addiction preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client engagement.
  • Ability to develop measurable treatment plans.
  • Interest in evidence-based treatment models.
  • Experience with co-occurring mental health issues is a plus.
