DevOps Operations Manager - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Operations Manager to lead a small team of DevOps engineers while driving operational excellence across our cloud platform. This role combines people leadership with hands-on operational expertise, focusing on incident management, monitoring, and leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency.

In Short

• Manage, mentor, and develop DevOps engineers through 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development.
• Lead incident management, crisis response, and maintain high uptime across production systems.
• Oversee monitoring, alerting, and PagerDuty configuration for optimal system observability.
• Drive AI adoption and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance on CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Coordinate between Development, Operations, and Infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing DevOps/SRE teams with a proven track record of building high-performing teams.
• 7+ years in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies and services; Azure experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions), Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with production incident management, on-call operations, and PagerDuty.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, etc).
• Strong stakeholder management and crisis leadership skills.
