Senior Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This hybrid role is responsible for managing accounts payable processes and supporting payroll functions in partnership with our PEO.

In Short

• Maintain AP automation software and manage the end-to-end AP process.
• Review and verify invoices for coding and compliance.
• Prepare and process weekly vendor payments.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and oversee account balances.
• Prepare journal entries for credit cards and expense reports.
• Audit and reconcile employee expense reports.
• Apply knowledge of pay and deductions for accurate payroll processing.
• Coordinate with departments for timely submission of electronic timecards.
• Maintain and audit payroll records.
• Support year-end processes, including financial audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable and Payroll experience.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations.
• Experience with AP automation tools and payroll systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience working with a PEO is a plus.
