The Hearing Representative position is an in-house fully remote role focused on handling Workers’ Compensation cases, providing legal support, and ensuring excellent customer service.

In Short

  • Fully remote position with occasional in-person court appearances.
  • Handle a designated caseload of Workers’ Compensation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies.
  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings and briefs.
  • Communicate with courts, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
  • Negotiate and resolve cases on behalf of clients.
  • Attend continuing legal education seminars.
  • Collaborative work environment with a focus on personal growth.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal practice experience required.
  • Compensation range of $80,000 - $120,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or law degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of California Workers’ Compensation Law.
  • Experience with WCAB board hearings preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong negotiation and evaluation skills.
  • Positive team-player attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Lexis Nexis.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new software quickly.
  • Trial experience preferred.
