Overview

The Business Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing business in an assigned base of new and existing customers for Ophthalmology and Optometry, reporting to the VP of Anterior Portfolio and collaborating with the commercial team.

In Short

  • Manage business for new and existing customers in Ophthalmology and Optometry.
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and high-value accounts.
  • Execute strategies to maximize market penetration.
  • Support the field sales team to achieve sales goals.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time for customer engagements.
  • Analyze sales performance data and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for alignment on strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of strategic sales experience in Specialty and/or Ophthalmology.
  • 2-4 years of leadership or business development experience.
  • Knowledge of Market Access and reimbursement processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • High ethical standards and sound business judgment.
