Director of Power Marketing & Origination - Remote

Overview

The Director of Power Marketing and Origination is responsible for identifying and executing offtake opportunities for utility scale solar, storage and hybrid projects, as well as strategic partnerships with utilities and other customers.

• Lead negotiation of power purchase agreements and build transfer agreements.
• Build relationships with procurement roles at utility companies.
• Develop commercial thesis for market strategies.
• Identify new off-take opportunities through competitive solicitations.
• Direct proposal preparation for utility scale projects.
• Develop innovative deal structures and recommendations.
• Stay current on market and industry trends.
• Prepare investment memoranda for Senior Management.
• Engage in industry groups and follow regulatory changes.
• Coordinate with other groups in the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, finance, engineering, sustainability, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power marketing or origination.
• Proficient in structuring and negotiating offtake deals.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. utility-scale solar development.
• Understanding of battery storage contracting structures preferred.
• Ability to stay current with changing technologies and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel up to 40% of the time in North America.
