Overview

Handshake is looking to bring on a Support Specialist, Contractor to provide support to our employer, student, and career services users. This role is a 6 month contract with the possibility of contract extension or conversion to our permanent Support Specialist role upon evaluation of fit for the role and company needs.

In Short

  • Provide support to Handshake users through email and phone.
  • Resolve questions, bugs, feedback, and general inquiries.
  • Contribute 40 hours per week during business hours.
  • Utilize internal tools for troubleshooting and customer support.
  • Maintain a standard level of excellence in response and resolution times.
  • Work closely with the Support Team to improve user experience.
  • Engage in team meetings and administrative tasks.
  • Possibility of contract extension or conversion to a permanent role.
  • Work from home if located in select US states.
  • Help democratize opportunity in the AI economy.

Requirements

  • Located in specified US states for remote work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn technical tools and concepts quickly.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Resilience and comfort with change.
  • High attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Passion for helping users achieve their career goals.
  • Ability to provide consistent assistance to users.
  • Experience with ZenDesk is a plus.
  • Background in IT, customer service, or related fields is advantageous.
