Overview

The Infection Control Coordinator will support the implementation and evaluation of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) program in various healthcare settings, ensuring exemplary patient care and safety.

In Short

• Act as a representative of the IPAC Program.
• Complete IPAC audits and act as an expert consultant.
• Develop and deliver educational materials for healthcare providers.
• Conduct surveillance activities for infection control.
• Analyze data related to hospital-associated infections.
• Provide training in infection prevention and control.
• Work collaboratively with external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with infection control directives.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Travel between healthcare facilities as needed.

Requirements

• Current registration as a regulated health professional.
• Experience in infection prevention and control preferred.
• Completion of an entry-level Infection Control course.
• CIC certification preferred.
• Excellent report writing and computer skills required.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel.
