Overview

The Clerk II position at Halton Healthcare involves providing clerical support within the Clinical Information Services Department, ensuring accurate management of patient information and effective communication with internal stakeholders.

In Short

  • Provide clerical support within the Clinical Information Services Department.
  • Run daily reports to obtain patient information.
  • Validate information between two systems (Meditech and Med2020).
  • Identify discrepancies between systems.
  • Enter patient information daily.
  • Follow up with internal stakeholders as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a patient/customer-focused approach.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ensure effective communication with staff and patients.

Requirements

  • Office administration diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Enrollment in CHIMA program or CHIMA certification is an asset.
  • Understanding of patient flow in Emergency Department.
  • Medical terminology certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm.
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload and function independently.
