Senior Contracts Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Senior Contracts Specialist is responsible for the independent review and negotiation of complex contracts to achieve business objectives while mitigating risk to the company.

In Short

• Independently reviews and provides risk management consultation on all contracts submitted.
• Acts as an expert contractual mediator between company employees, vendors, customers, and subcontractors.
• Ensures timely review and approval or negotiation and reconciliation of variations.
• Advises management of contractual rights and obligations.
• Researches, recommends, and creates contract policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with external legal counsel as needed.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of a contract database.
• Develops solutions to complex problems regarding contract terms.
• Documents internal policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Works with Professional Services to maintain client contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management or related field OR Paralegal Certificate.
• 5-10 years of experience reviewing complex contracts.
• 3-5 years of experience in a value-added reseller capacity.
• 1-2 years of experience in Federal and/or State and Local contracts.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Contracts database experience and Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to multi-task.
• Customer service driven with attention to detail.
