Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Data Engineer will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and scaling the pipelines and data systems that power BizMap’s unified data platform.

In Short

• Design and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Apply transformation, normalization, and enrichment rules for data consistency.
• Collaborate with product managers, data architects, and content experts.
• Support implementation of data matching and entity resolution processes.
• Build alerts, logs, and metrics to monitor data flows.
• Contribute to documentation and code quality standards.

Requirements

• 4–8 years in data engineering with experience in building production-grade data pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; experience with Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, and Azure Data Lake.
• Familiarity with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Understanding of data modeling, version control, CI/CD, and data governance principles.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of projects.
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment.
