Senior Data Scientist / AI Consultant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist / AI Consultant to partner with multiple teams across the client's organization — transforming fragmented data into actionable insights, and delivering production-ready, LLM-powered solutions that drive Mercer’s AI strategy.

• Contract Duration: 6 months (with possible extension until the end of 2026)
• Hands-on technical role with a consultative, multi-project scope
• Design, productionize, and validate machine learning and LLM-based solutions
• Help shape the foundations for Mercer’s AI capabilities
• Gather, assess, and prioritize requirements from stakeholders
• Identify fragmented data sources for ML use
• Provide actionable recommendations connecting technical solutions to business objectives
• Support multiple teams simultaneously
• 5+ years of experience in data science or ML engineering
• Strong Python and SQL skills required
