Business Intelligence Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for defining and enforcing data standards, maintaining data dictionaries, and ensuring data consistency across business intelligence platforms.

• Define and enforce naming conventions for reports, metrics, and columns.
• Maintain a data dictionary/catalog for standard references.
• Ensure data consistency and compliance across BI.
• Automate Tableau extracts and Hyper file generation.
• Optimize report performance and refresh schedules.
• Integrate Tableau with Airflow and Athena (SQL) for automated data processing.
• Manage version control in GIT for BI assets.
• Assist product analysts with table creation and subscriptions.
• Provide support in report structuring and Tableau governance.
• Ensure smooth onboarding for new analysts in BI standardization processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years in BI engineering, analytics, or data governance.
• Strong Tableau and SQL (Athena) skills.
• Understanding of data standardization, compliance, and governance.
• Knowledge of GIT for version control.
• Python for automation will be a plus.
• Knowledge of Airflow/DBT for automation will be a plus.
