In Short

• You are responsible together with your team for all virtualized systems of our customers - predominantly KVM/QEMU-KVM - and manage our managed servers, with and without Plesk.
• You install, maintain, and monitor hardware components, overall systems, and server and client systems of any software.
• You develop your own scripts and tools.
• Together with your team, you are responsible for the maintenance and expansion of private cloud installations (Proxmox/PVE, OpenNebula).
• The consolidation of legacy systems onto new platforms is also part of your tasks.
• You take care of ticket support to cover the 2nd-level area.

Requirements

• You have a completed computer science degree or completed training as an IT specialist for system integration.
• You are familiar with configuration management and automation.
• In addition, you have solid knowledge in at least three of the following points:
• Web server configuration and optimization for application operation (Apache, NGINX, etc.)
• Software-defined storage technologies (e.g., Ceph, ZFS)
• High availability technologies (e.g., DRBD)
• Database systems (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Monitoring (Zabbix)
• Virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU-KVM, OpenNebula)
• Thanks to your independent, systematic, and results-oriented way of working with great resilience, you advance the team.
• You are willing to work in shifts (Mon-Fri: 6:00 AM - 12:00 AM + on-call duty, which is attractively compensated).
• Fluent written English skills round off your profile.
