Data Migration Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Data Migration Specialist will support both internal and external clients by using various tools and processes to complete data migrations into Granicus products. This role is essential in ensuring data consistency and improving processes within the company.

• Complete data migrations from other software packages into Granicus products.
• Develop procedures and scripts for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate database changes with technical teams.
• Validate and analyze data sets for consistency.
• Assist in technical direction for internal data models.
• Produce client-focused reports of operations performed.
• Participate in product test execution as required.
• Facilitate resolution of production database issues.
• Monitor and maintain database replication across WAN links.
• Support migration to PaaS compliant database architecture.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Focus on automating repeatable tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with various databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Access, PostgreSQL).
• Experience migrating and validating data sets.
• Background in migrating between different data sources.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology related field or equivalent experience.
