Controller - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Controller to build and lead our in-house accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and audit readiness.

In Short

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of the general ledger and financial reporting processes.
• Stay informed on accounting regulations and implement necessary changes.
• Lead and optimize day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and treasury management.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Oversee revenue recognition, cost accounting, and inventory accounting processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead SOX compliance efforts.
• Provide regular reports to the CFO and Audit Committee.
• Manage external financial reporting requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Manager-level or senior accounting role.
• Holds a CPA certification (required).
• DTC/eCommerce experience (preferred).
• Experience with ERP/accounting software like Fulfil.io (a plus).
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive.
• Broad business mindset understanding accounting's impact on operations.
