Operations Manager - Remote

Overview

The Operations Manager at USPack is responsible for managing and coordinating transportation services for clients, ensuring customer needs are met through effective use of Independent Contractors as delivery drivers.

In Short

• Manage transportation services for assigned customers.
• Build relationships with clients through regular meetings.
• Resolve service issues and complete customer reports.
• Orient Independent Contractors to client standards.
• Monitor services to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Plan route coverage and communicate with Independent Contractors.
• Negotiate contracted services and settlements with Independent Contractors.
• Manage gross margins and ensure targets are met.
• Proficient in basic MS Office programs.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean vehicle.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics and courier route management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for driver and customer interactions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
• Understanding of the independent contractor relationship.
• Ability to work from home with required travel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• College degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
