As an AI Engineer at GoodParty.org, you will help build AI-powered tools that empower everyday people to run for office and win, transforming democracy from the ground up.

In Short

• Design and implement human-in-the-loop AI applications.
• Enhance open-source products using React, NextJS, DataBricks, Python, and Postgres.
• Apply AI and machine learning methods to civic technology products.
• Conduct structured experimentation to validate solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI frameworks for production integration.
• Drive money out of politics and democratize democracy.
• Work in fast-paced, experimental environments.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Commit to responsible and ethical AI development.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.

Requirements

• Strong technical training in computer science or engineering.
• Practical experience with LLM integration and RAG workflows.
• Experience creating automated data pipelines.
• Comfortable in experimental environments with short iteration cycles.
• Enthusiasm for continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Effective collaboration skills.
• Awareness of model limitations and bias in AI.
• Domain expertise through relevant secondary degrees is a plus.
• Experience in civic tech or political campaigns is a bonus.
• Commitment to the mission of fixing democracy.
