Head of Finance - Remote

Overview

The Head of Finance is a key position responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the Gnosis Pay Team, ensuring regulatory compliance within the crypto and payment industry, and providing insightful financial guidance to support the company's growth and financial health.

In Short

• Own the P&L: Take full ownership of the company’s profit and loss, driving financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Drive product and financial innovation: Support the product roadmap through ideation and development of new financial products.
• Oversee financial operations: Manage day-to-day activities including clearing & settlement, collateral management, and cash flow management.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting: Lead reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Maintain regulatory compliance: Work closely with legal and compliance teams to meet all regulatory requirements.
• Manage external financial relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with leadership and teams across operations and tech.
• Monitor industry trends: Stay up to date on crypto/blockchain developments and regulations.
• Implement risk management frameworks: Design and enforce policies to safeguard company assets.

Requirements

• Experience 6-8 years as a Financial Controller or similar role with fintech companies or banks.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge in cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and DeFi desired.
• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Professional certifications (CPA, CFA) are a plus.
