Overview

The Site Strategy Intern will assist in streamlining accounting operations at General Motors by participating in projects aimed at process simplification, standardization, and automation.

• Work onsite daily at General Motors.
• Complete projects to streamline accounting operations.
• Perform manual journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Participate in meetings to identify work simplification opportunities.
• Present project results to GBS Leadership.
• Engage in GBS-wide and GA-wide activities.
• Must be a 3rd year college student in Accountancy.
• Basic accounting skills required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

• Graduating/3rd year college students of Accountancy.
• Willingness to extend internship hours if needed.
• Basic accounting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Experience with KNIME or similar automation tools.
• LEAN and Six Sigma training preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership skills are a plus.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work in a competitive environment.
