Software Engineer, Data Platform - Remote

Overview

This role is FULLY REMOTE from Latin America - Pacific Time zone. Glacier is a Series A startup based in San Francisco tackling one of the world's most pressing problems: trash. We build custom sorting robots and AI-powered business analytics to enhance recycling efficiency.

In Short

• Develop and maintain software for edge devices, server infrastructure, and web applications.
• Build and improve APIs connecting system components.
• Design and enhance user interfaces for web applications.
• Implement and optimize data processing and machine learning pipelines.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with teams to design features and solve challenges.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with relevant programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• 1+ years developing or consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with backend web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• English proficiency (C1 or higher).

Benefits

• $2,000-$4,500 USD per month based on location and experience.
