In Short

  • Build and maintain observability tools for GitLab SaaS environments.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting systems for capacity needs.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for metrics gathering and observability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on architectural solutions.
  • Work with Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Utilize Grafana and Elastic Stack.
  • Engage with cloud provider systems like GCP and AWS.
  • Contribute to GitLab core projects.

Requirements

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Familiarity with Grafana’s LGTM stack or Elastic’s stack (ELK).
  • Ability to reason about large systems and their operations.
  • Enjoy collaboration across teams.
  • Proficient in using GitLab as a primary tool.
