Legal Counsel - Energy Law - Remote

Overview

Join our Legal Team as a Legal Counsel to support the legal structuring of our projects in sustainable energy solutions. You will review, negotiate, and develop contracts in close collaboration with our Commercial, Project Finance, Operations, and Project Development teams.

In Short

• Learn our existing processes and contract structures, especially in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
• Participate in contract negotiations and take on your own negotiations with German and English-speaking clients.
• Analyze external contract templates and derive practical recommendations for contract design.
• Support the expansion and continuous improvement of our contract portfolio.
• Conduct independent and solution-oriented contract negotiations.
• Process contracts such as PPAs and service agreements legally and structured.
• Proactively assess legal risks and develop realistic, business-sensible solutions.
• Advise colleagues on contractual legal questions.
• Assist in creating internal guidelines for contract negotiations.
• Develop an efficient contract process focused on time-to-contract and transparency.

Requirements

• Completed 2nd state examination or comparable qualification (e.g., LL.M).
• 3-5 years of professional experience as a lawyer, ideally in a company or a business-oriented law firm.
• Experience in independent contract negotiation with structured and solution-oriented arguments.
• Strong knowledge in contract law and energy law (EEG, EnWG) with experience in drafting PPAs.
• Confident handling of external contract templates and complex issues.
• Fluent in German and English, especially in negotiation with international partners.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and initiative, eager to take responsibility for projects.
• Enjoy clear communication and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Affinity for Legal-Tech and interest in new digital tools and trends.
