Senior Product Designer - Remote

Overview

Built Technologies is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Owner & Contractor team. As a Senior Product Designer you will be responsible for owning the design strategy and execution within your product area. You lead by example, thrive in establishing clarity amid ambiguity, and bring others along with you in the process. You have experience solving complex problems, can remain focused in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to zoom out and see the big picture.

In Short

• Partner with product and engineering to deliver premium products and services to Built customers
• Become an expert in construction finance by observing, learning from, and empathizing with new and existing customers
• Provide clear vision, design direction and ownership for each initiative
• Create user flows, story maps, workflow diagrams, and other strategic artifacts
• Explore multiple solutions to problems, balancing high-fidelity mockups and prototypes with simple sketches
• Present your work to others and be receptive to feedback
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are implemented correctly
• Monitor design patterns and promote necessary changes to our design system
• Define metrics for user engagement and analyze data for opportunities
• Help build the product design team by participating in interviews

Requirements

• 5+ years experience, ideally within a SaaS company
• Aptitude for deconstructing complex problems in construction finance
• Strong design skills with a portfolio demonstrating your work
• Comfortable leading discovery sessions and user testing
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail
• Ability to stand up for designs while being open to feedback
• Experience with design systems
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript (React)
• Passionate about accessibility and usability
