Process Controls Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Process Controls Engineer will design, build, and troubleshoot electrical control and robotic systems for manufacturing vehicles, ensuring high safety and quality standards.

In Short

• Design and troubleshoot electrical control systems for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with automation system suppliers for machine modifications.
• Implement standards and procedures for vehicle assembly.
• Support new projects and vehicle programs focusing on efficiency.
• Provide technical direction to suppliers.
• Lead automation projects for engine assembly areas.
• Engineer and approve Bill of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.
• Evaluate progress of machinery builds at supplier plants.
• Work in a hybrid model: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
• Ensure continuous improvement of equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Two years of experience in related engineering roles.
• Experience with electrical and control systems.
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming.
• Familiarity with Ethernet and DeviceNet networks.
• Understanding of mechanical concepts in manufacturing.
• Experience with servo motors and motion control.
• Ability to validate safety control systems.
