Overview

The HR/LR Partner at GM will lead HR and Labor Relations activities, providing strategic support to business functions and enhancing employee engagement.

In Short

  • Lead HR and Labor Relations activities at GM's Arlington Assembly plant.
  • Provide management representation in union agreements.
  • Advise on Union-Management relationships.
  • Manage employee grievances and conduct investigations.
  • Ensure proper manpower and monitor attrition and retention.
  • Support talent management and workforce succession planning.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive HR decisions.
  • Facilitate annual compensation planning and HR transactions.
  • Collaborate with various departments on employee issues.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of HR and labor relations experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in HR systems and data analysis.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and union environment is a plus.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification is advantageous.
