Overview

The Financial Analyst for the Warranty Center of Excellence is responsible for providing timely and insightful financial analyses related to warranty forecasting, accounting, and compliance, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

In Short

• Serve as a Warranty Financial Analyst.
• Perform General Ledger functions ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare manual journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze warranty accrual rates using GAAP methodologies.
• Identify and mitigate accounting risks and issues.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices.
• Collaborate with Finance on transaction implications.
• Evaluate current accounting policies.
• Must be based at the GM Global Technical Center three times a week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with SAP and/or Oracle Hyperion.
• Warranty or product costing analytics experience.
