Functional Analyst (Veterans Affairs) - Remote

Overview

This position supports the Department of Veterans Affairs by transforming the Veterans Benefits Administration with a focus on improving claims processing for Veterans.

In Short

• Serve as a bridge between mission stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Analyze VBA mission requirements and business processes.
• Apply M21 and 38 CFR standards to workflow processing.
• Collaborate to gather and refine functional requirements.
• Assist in developing use cases for claims evaluation.
• Support system testing and user acceptance testing.
• Contribute to documentation including functional specifications.
• Work towards measurable outcomes for VBA claims processing.
• Help shape system improvements based on business needs.
• Enable intelligent decisions in healthcare and benefits delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years as a VBA Veterans Service Representative or related experience.
• Experience in gathering and documenting requirements.
• Ability to translate stakeholder input into actionable plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a Government background screening.
