Overview

As an AI Data Engineer at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming the Veterans Benefits Administration into an AI-enabled, paperless organization by building scalable data solutions that support high-performance analytics and machine learning.

In Short

Design and implement scalable data solutions in AWS.
Build and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Optimize data architectures using AWS services.
Support data ingestion from various sources.
Develop automation scripts for data transformation.
Collaborate with analysts and data scientists.
Monitor and tune performance of ETL workflows.
Contribute to DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
Work in a remote-friendly environment.
Support initiatives aimed at reducing claims backlog for Veterans.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of experience in data engineering.
Hands-on experience with AWS data services.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Familiarity with data lake and warehouse architectures.
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of data privacy and security compliance.
Experience with healthcare or government datasets is a plus.
AWS certifications preferred.
Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust.
