Overview

The Director, Residence Management is responsible for assisting the Senior Director, Residence Management, in overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of GMHC’s diverse housing portfolio, ensuring compliance with agency, funder, and local/federal laws.

• Oversee the management of housing operations and compliance with regulations.
• Develop residential management strategies and policies.
• Supervise a team of Residence Managers and Landlord Liaisons.
• Manage housing budget and leasing compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to build positive relationships.
• Ensure housing stock compliance with standards and regulations.
• Conduct audits and oversee client data management.
• Lead onboarding and training of new hires.
• Participate in industry conferences and organizational meetings.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of property management experience required.
• Deep understanding of multifamily residential property management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Familiarity with government benefit systems and compliance requirements.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
