Overview

The Development Coordinator of Database & Research plays a critical role in the success of the development team at GMHC. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the donor database, ensuring data integrity, and providing the development team with accurate reports and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.

In Short

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive institutional giving strategy.
  • Identify and research prospective institutional funders.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the donor database in Salesforce.
  • Generate and distribute reports on fundraising performance.
  • Provide training to staff on the use of the donor database.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records.
  • Collaborate with the finance team for accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee Grant Writers to ensure proposal quality.
  • Facilitate ongoing professional development for team members.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss grant opportunities.

Requirements

  • Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational capabilities.
  • Experience in project management with relevant software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience, preferably in a non-profit.
  • Salesforce Accredited Professional Certification preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate proficiency with fundraising and marketing platforms.
  • Experienced with research tools for donor prospecting.
