Overview

As an AML and Transactions Monitoring Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with AML/CFT regulations while working in a fast-paced environment within a leading digital asset exchange.

In Short

• Conduct KYC, CDD, EDD, and other AML/CFT related checks.
• Investigate and analyze flagged client accounts.
• Perform PEP, sanction, and adverse media screening.
• Carry out ongoing client monitoring.
• Review flagged transactions using blockchain analytics tools.
• Assist in preparing regulatory reports.
• Draft and implement procedures for compliance.
• Conduct third-party due diligence and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on fraud prevention.
• Stay updated on regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience within a regulated VASP is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AML/CFT framework in Malta.
• Familiarity with EU regulations like MICA and the Travel rule.
• Experience with blockchain analytics tools.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and investigation skills.
• Professional qualifications in AML and crypto are advantageous.
