Overview

The VP of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for the leadership, oversight and optimization of all billing and collection functions within the organization.

In Short

  • Lead all elements of the Revenue Cycle including coding, billing, and collections.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Billing Manager and revenue cycle department members.
  • Create and report KPI metrics for the department.
  • Enable collaboration across the organization for strategy and operations integration.
  • Standardize systems and optimize policies across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate in company-wide strategy development.
  • Accountable for departmental leadership team success.
  • Implement financial strategies to improve revenue collection performance.
  • Review processes and market trends for necessary improvements.
  • Assess acquisition opportunities regarding teams and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Revenue Cycle management within a healthcare system.
  • Knowledge in revenue cycle best practices and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Expert knowledge of AMA coding guidelines and payer regulations.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle software and systems like Epic and gGastro.
