Temp Medical Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist - Remote

Overview

This temporary position involves supporting the department in maximizing revenue and cash flow through effective billing practices and denial resolutions.

In Short

• Temporary 4 to 6 week assignment.
• Perform charge entries and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Generate appeals for denied claims to maximize reimbursement.
• Conduct analysis of medical records for coding accuracy.
• Collaborate with management to address documentation issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of unpaid claims and denials.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Respond to inquiries from insurance carriers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in a medical billing environment.
• Experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task and work under changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience in collections.
